PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB_ The Shutter Squad

The Shutter Squad (Photography Club of Gangadharpur Mahavidyamandir) is a platform to bring together the like minded people and share knowledge about the art and science of Photography. The club encourages students to study light and imparts tips on composition. The club organizes activities that give a chance to learn photography, utilize their camera to the fullest and become sensitized to the world around. The club focuses on interaction between experts and students in addition to enhancing peer learning in photography and builds an environment to capture memories forever.

Aims and objectives:

• Coverage of various events within the institute & participation in external competitions.
• Create a repository of exclusive pictures shot by the members for Educational & Research purpose.
• Arrange outdoor sessions so students can directly implement a few skills or tips given.
• The club takes part in multimedia promotions of the Cultural Fest and Technical Fest every year.
• Photographs of maximum events in our college are captured and shared by the club.
• Conduct frequent inter/intra college photography contests.
• Make maximum members participate in photography contests conducted by other colleges.
• Share details of photography related newsletters, magazines, contests with the club members.

The Shutter Squad of Gangadharpur Mahavidyamandir is dedicated to fostering a community of photography enthusiasts, encouraging creativity, and developing technical skills. Our mission is to inspire students to explore photography as a powerful means of expression while promoting an appreciation for visual art. Through workshops, competitions, and collaborative projects, we aim to cultivate a space for learning, sharing, and growing together as photographers.

Vision:
Our vision is to establish the Photography Club as a hub for artistic innovation and technical excellence. We strive to provide students with the tools and opportunities to hone their craft, gain professional experience, and develop a strong portfolio. Ultimately, we aim to contribute to the artistic and cultural landscape of the college, while also creating a platform for students to showcase their work to a wider audience.

Guest Lectures and Expert Talks:
