Teachers’ Council

The Teachers’ Council is a statutory body as per Calcutta University Act in the College which promotes and takes the responsibility of the quality assurance at the level of teaching-learning and evaluation. The Teachers’ Council’s purpose is to ensure safe and high quality leadership, teaching-learning for the stake holders of the college by monitoring the proper design and implementation of  planning  related to academic ambience of the college including admission, teaching-learning activities, examination, sports and cultural activities, extension activities, publication, seminar, workshop, research etc. All the Full-time teachers appointed in substantive post are members of the Teachers’ Council. The Principal/Teacher-in-Charge acts as the Ex-officio President of this council. Different sub-committees are formed by the teachers’ council and duly approved by College Governing Body, where the members are selected from the teachers to oversee and coordinate different academic and administrative matters to meet the need of the students and to ensure a smooth functioning of the college’s academic progress.

Objectives

  • To assist the Principal/Teacher-in-Charge of the college in governance and smooth functioning of the college.
  • To assist and advice the college authorities in planning, organizing and executing different academic activities related to college.
  • To maintain and promote a close and healthy relationship between the different stakeholders of the college.
