From Teacher-in-Charge’s Desk

Dear Students, Respected Faculty and Staff Members, Esteemed Parents, and Respected Alumni,

It is with a deep sense of pride and commitment that I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for being an integral part of our academic community. Since its inception in 1981, our college has grown steadily in strength and spirit, offering quality education under the affiliation of the University of Calcutta. Today, we cater to over 1800 students across B.A./B.Com. Honours with Research and multidisciplinary undergraduate programs.

As the Head of this esteemed institution, I firmly believe that education is not merely the transmission of knowledge but the nurturing of responsible, enlightened, and capable individuals. Together, our dedicated faculty, supportive staff, aspiring students, and encouraging guardians have worked hard to uphold the values of inclusivity, academic excellence, and social responsibility.

We are committed to creating a learner-centric environment enriched with modern infrastructure, Smart-cum-virtual classroom, digital libraries,LMS, and academic innovations. Initiatives like bridge courses, skill enhancement programs, research encouragement, and extracurricular activities are designed to ensure holistic development.

It is with immense pride and heartfelt gratitude that I share a moment of joy and accomplishment with you all—Gangadharpur Mahavidyamandir has been awarded Grade ‘B’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in its recent 2nd cycle (2025) of accreditation.

This recognition is not just a mark of our institutional quality but a testament to the collective dedication, relentless efforts, and unwavering commitment of our students, teachers, non-teaching staff, alumni, parents, governing body members, and well-wishers.

Despite the many challenges of limited resources and our semi-urban setting, our college has consistently strived to deliver quality education, promote inclusivity, and uphold values of integrity and academic excellence. The NAAC Grade ‘B’ stands as a symbol of our resilience, unity, and aspirations.

Over the past few years, we have worked tirelessly to develop a green, inclusive, and learner-friendly campus environment. Special emphasis has been given to digital learning, student support services, infrastructure improvement, and the promotion of sustainable and eco-friendly practices.

With your continued support and cooperation, I am confident that Gangadharpur Mahavidyamandir will continue to scale new heights and emerge as a center of excellence in higher education.

Let us move forward together with shared vision and mutual respect, for the greater cause of nation-building through education.

Warm regards,
